The vibrant Onam Festival 2024 celebrations at The Indian Club – Bahrain is in full swing, with a series of exciting cultural events captivating attendees. On Thursday, October 3rd, the fourth day of the festival was highlighted by a powerful performance of folk songs (Nadan Pattukal) by renowned playback singer and folk song specialist, Mrs. Praseetha Chalakudy. Along with Sahridaya Payyanur Bahrain, Mrs. Chalakudy electrified the stage, captivating the music lovers present and sweeping the audience into a festive mood with her dynamic performance.
As the event progresses, the festivities continue to grow. On Friday, October 4th, the fifth day of the festival, the Club hosted the Ghoshayatra Competition, followed by a mesmerizing folk music and fusion band performance by Aaravam Bahrain. The Ghoshayatra competition saw participation from five talented teams, each bringing their A-game to the festive competition.

Looking ahead, the Onam festivities will culminate with the highly anticipated 'Onasadhya' (traditional Onam feast) on Friday, October 11th, 2024. The feast will serve 2,500 people, featuring 30 delicious items prepared on the Club premises by celebrity Sadhya specialist, Mr. Jayan Sukumara Pillai. Served on traditional banana leaves, this grand feast promises to be a treat for patrons, members, and guests alike.
