His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa attends 100th anniversary celebration of first Municipal Council elections

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa highlighted that the Kingdom has made exemplary progress in municipal work. He acknowledged the significant role that municipal efforts have played in advancing the Kingdom’s infrastructure, which is vital for supporting its dynamic economic and investment projects that provide quality opportunities for Bahraini citizens.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman extended his gratitude and appreciation to all municipal members, for their unwavering efforts and contributions that benefit all, wishing them continued success in their service to the Kingdom’s communities.

Celebration

His Highness was speaking as he attended yesterday a celebration at the Muharraq Municipality to mark the Kingdom’s 100th Anniversary of the first Municipal Council elections on behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Labour Fund (Tamkeen).

The celebration was held under the patronage of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Comprehensive development

HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman said that the Kingdom’s wide-ranging achievements have been attained due to the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and supported by HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

For his part, the Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, His Excellency Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, highlighted that the Kingdom’s municipal achievements were attained through the unwavering support of HM the King and HRH Prince Salman.

Al Mubarak extended his gratitude to HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman for attending the ceremony.

Model

The Minister noted that the Kingdom’s 100-year municipal history has become a model and a platform to be emulated globally.

He concluded by outlining the importance of municipalities in fostering community development and providing quality services to citizens and residents of the Kingdom. Several senior officials also attended the celebration.
