HRH Prince Salman Calls for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza During Meeting with UK Officials

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, has emphasized the strong and enduring relationships between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. During a meeting today at Al-Qudhaybiya Palace, His Highness highlighted the comprehensive strategic partnerships that span various fields, attributing the ongoing development of bilateral cooperation to the dedicated attention from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom.
The meeting was attended by key officials, including His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Isa bin Salman Educational Charitable Trust; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa; H.E. Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs; H.E. Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy; and H.E. Mr. David Lammy, UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Affairs.
HRH Prince Salman underscored the significance of continuing to enhance cooperation and joint coordination between Bahrain and the UK, with a focus on elevating their mutual agreements to more comprehensive levels. He acknowledged the prominent role the United Kingdom plays alongside brotherly and friendly nations in promoting security, peace, and stability within the region, highlighting joint efforts aimed at sustainable development and prosperity for people around the world.
The discussion also covered several topics of mutual interest, including the latest regional and international developments. His Highness called for intensified efforts toward establishing an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and advocated for a clear pathway toward a fair, lasting, and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution.
Moreover, HRH Prince Salman emphasized the importance of maintaining the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of the Republic of Lebanon. He reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to supporting all regional and international initiatives focused on achieving peace and preventing further tensions and conflicts, thereby contributing to enhanced development and prosperity in the region.
