HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman inaugurates Night Lighting project at Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club

His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club High Committee, affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing its equestrian sector, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

This came as HH Shaikh Isa bin Salman inaugurated yesterday the Night Lighting project at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club.

The project was implemented in accordance with the highest international quality standards to attract participants from around the globe and to further consolidate the Kingdom’s position as a hub for horseracing competitions.

Night races

The Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club has announced that night races will commence starting from the upcoming 2024/2025 season.

The upcoming season will mark a significant shift in the Kingdom’s horse racing history, expanding the series of races in the fourth edition of the Bahrain International Championship to include 12 rounds, as well as the sixth edition of the Bahrain International Trophy.

In addition, the upcoming season will see an expansion in the number of local races, reflecting the club’s commitment to enhancing both local and international competitions and fostering the development of equestrian sport in the Kingdom.

Lighting towers

It is worth noting that the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club’s night lighting project involved the installation of 68 lighting towers, each with a power of 1,000 lux, strategically distributed across various areas of the track.
