The swearing-in of newly appointed and elected members of Bahrain’s Shura and Representatives Councils is scheduled for this Sunday, marking the first session of the third convening period of the sixth legislative term.
Dr. Anwar Khalifa Al Sadah will take the constitutional oath as a new member of the Shura Council, succeeding the late Abdul Rahman Mohammed Jamshid. His appointment adds fresh expertise to the council.
In the Representatives Council, Abdul Wahid Qarata, elected during last September’s by-elections, will take his oath as the new deputy for Muharraq’s first constituency, officially starting his parliamentary duties.
The oath-taking ceremony will follow the opening events, signifying the formal commencement of the legislative work for the new session
