Over 3.4 million pass through in August surge

Bahrain's transportation hubs were abuzz in August, welcoming an impressive wave of over 3.4 million travellers through its various ports, including the bustling Bahrain International Airport, the vital King Fahd Causeway, and the country’s sea ports.
The numbers tell a remarkable story: the King Fahd Causeway alone saw a staggering 1,476,813 passengers crossing its threshold. Meanwhile, Bahrain International Airport processed a total of 515,048 travellers, with 219,534 arriving and 295,514 departing.
The country’s sea ports contributed to the momentum with 3,274 passengers navigating their waters. This surge in traffic continues a positive trend observed in recent months.
In July, Bahrain’s entry points facilitated the journey of over 3.3 million people, with the King Fahd Causeway handling an impressive 2,835,159 passengers—comprising 1,407,970 arrivals and 1,427,189 departures.
Bahrain International Airport played its part by managing 471,348 passengers, while the sea ports registered 3,748 travellers. Even in June, Bahrain was a hub of activity, recording 3,378,007 passengers.
The King Fahd Causeway again dominated, with 1,431,932 arrivals and 1,455,995 departures, while the airport saw 213,032 arrivals and 273,466 departures, and the sea ports noted 1,912 arrivals and 1,670 departures.
These impressive figures highlight Bahrain’s growing allure as a prime destination for both business and leisure travellers, showcasing the Kingdom’s vibrant connectivity and the importance of its transportation networks in facilitating seamless travel.
