The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) successfully organized the "Ancient Pottery Quest" event at the Hilla Archaeological Site on Saturday.
The event, which drew a large crowd of archaeology enthusiasts, provided participants with a hands-on experience in exploring Bahrain's rich archaeological heritage.
During the event, participants conducted an archaeological survey of the site, identifying, collecting, and gathering pottery fragments. These artifacts will be handed over to museum specialists for further study and preservation.
The initiative is part of BACA’s ongoing efforts to engage the local community in the country’s archaeological activities and promote the concept of community partnership in preserving Bahrain’s cultural heritage.
By encouraging public involvement in such activities, BACA hopes to foster a deeper connection between the people and Bahrain’s ancient history, ensuring its preservation for future generations.
