The Capital Governorate Police Directorate, in a concerted effort with the Capital Secretariat, has initiated a series of inspection campaigns aimed at addressing violations by street vendors and preventing road obstructions across the Capital Governorate.
These efforts are part of a broader strategy to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing street vending activities.
During the months of September and October, the Directorate reported conducting 35 inspection campaigns.
These initiatives led to the confiscation of 290 makeshift stalls and 13 iron carts that were improperly set up in various markets and public areas.
The removal of these items is intended to maintain order and safety within the community, ensuring that pedestrian pathways and roadways remain unobstructed.
The Capital Governorate Police Directorate emphasized its unwavering commitment to conducting these inspection campaigns throughout the year.
Authorities have pledged to intensify their efforts in apprehending violators and taking appropriate legal action against those who do not adhere to the regulations.
The ongoing campaigns underscore the Directorate's dedication to fostering a safe and orderly environment for residents and visitors in the Capital Governorate.
Authorities continue to encourage cooperation from the community in adhering to local laws and maintaining the aesthetic and functional integrity of public spaces.
