Bahrain committed to accelerating efforts towards achieving 2030 and 2050 economic goals

The Kingdom of Bahrain is dedicated to executing the plans outlined in the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 while also accelerating efforts to achieve the ambitious goals established in the Bahrain Economic Vision 2050.

This was emphasised by the Cabinet, noting that it is in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives reiterated by is Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

During yesterday’s session at Gudaibiya Palace chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, the Cabinet commended HM the King’s address at the opening of the third session of the sixth legislative term of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.

It noted that HM King Hamad’s directives determine future government workstreams and national development, which benefit all.

The Cabinet assured that the Kingdom will accelerate efforts to advance the anticipated Bahrain Economic Vision 2050.

Bahraini identity

In addition, a comprehensive study will be conducted to strengthen Bahraini identity and ensure a balance between openness and national security – particularly on safeguarding natural resources and optimising their investment to ensure a secure, sustainable, and prosperous future.

The address also emphasised ongoing efforts to enhance food security and manage natural resources, utilising modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence, in vital sectors to drive sustainable development.

In this regard, the Cabinet emphasised the Kingdom’s commitment to enhance cooperation between the Executive and Legislative Authorities, noting the efforts of the Chairman of the Shura Council, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives, and members of both councils in furthering the relationship.

Gratitude

In celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the first Municipal Council elections, the Cabinet expressed gratitude to the municipal councils and affirmed their role in the Kingdom’s overall development.

The Cabinet also commended Bahraini engineers for their contributions to the Kingdom’s advancement, in celebration of Bahraini Engineer’s Day. It also highlighted the success of the twenty-ninth edition of Routes World 2024, the leading global event in the aviation industry, which made its debut in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Cabinet commended the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, along with other agencies, for their effective organisational efforts in ensuring the event’s success. Memorandums The Cabinet convened for a meeting where several memorandums were discussed and subsequently approved.

Among the items on the agenda was a memorandum submitted by the Government Executive Committee concerning the activities of authorized distributors. The Cabinet approved a draft resolution related to the Traffic Council’s internal regulation, presented by the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs.

The committee also submitted a memorandum regarding a draft agreement, several draft memoranda of understanding, and an executive program between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait.

Furthermore, the Cabinet addressed a memorandum concerning cooperation in culture, antiquities, and handicrafts with the Republic of Cyprus. A government response regarding eight draft proposals and four draft laws from the Council of Representatives, along with a draft proposal from the Shura Council, was also approved.
