MP seeks transparency on licensing and violations

In his first parliamentary question of the new term, MP Jalal Kazim has demanded detailed information from the Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture, His Excellency Eng. Wael Al Mubarak, regarding licensing practices and related violations within the ministry.
The inquiry seeks comprehensive data on the number of licenses issued, the types of violations encountered, and the financial implications of these infractions.
MP Kazim submitted a comprehensive series of inquiries, calling for detailed information across several key areas.
Data He requested data on the total number of licenses issued, categorized by type, along with the total revenue generated from license fees. Additionally, Kazim sought a breakdown of license violations, classified by citizen, resident, and institution, specifying the number of each violation type.
He also asked for information on how many violations have been resolved through settlements in each category.
Violations Kazim’s inquiries extend to enforcement actions, requesting the number of violations referred to the Public Prosecution and the number of unresolved cases.
He further sought accountability regarding the total amount collected in fines, as well as the outstanding amounts from unresolved violations.
Lastly, the MP called for details on the preventative measures and strategies the ministry has implemented to address and prevent future license violations.
