Authorities Clear 161 Abandoned Vehicles from Salmabad and Hamala

Rusted cars left abandoned across the Northern Governorate have finally been cleared, as authorities hauled away 161 vehicles in a focused operation.
The Northern Area Municipality targeted the Salmabad and Hamala industrial areas, enforcing legal measures against vehicle owners under public cleanliness laws.
Officials voiced concern over the environmental damage caused by the abandoned vehicles, which also block roads and spoil the appearance of the area.
They pledged to continue inspections and raise awareness, urging car owners to take responsibility for vehicles left in both residential and industrial zones.
The municipality called on residents and businesses to cooperate in removing these unsightly wrecks, stressing that joint efforts are needed to keep the streets clear of this ongoing issue.
