Two GCC nationals have been charged with murder following a shocking incident in which they deliberately crashed their car into a group of people, resulting in one death and multiple injuries.
The High Criminal Court will hear the case, with the suspects facing charges of premeditated murder and attempted murder after the Public Prosecution received reports of the crash.
The car involved fled the scene. Investigations revealed that the collision was intentional, as confirmed by security footage. Authorities discovered that the driver and another individual in the vehicle conspired to hit one of the victims due to a dispute.
Arrest warrant
One of the suspects has been arrested , while the other is believed to have fled the country, leading to the issuance of an international arrest warrant.
Necessary examinations have been carried out, and a forensic doctor has been assigned to assess the deceased and the injured victims. Witness statements have also been taken.
Given the strong evidence against them, the Public Prosecution has ordered both suspects to be referred to the High Criminal Court, with a hearing scheduled for 20 October 2024.
