The High Criminal Court has sentenced two Asian defendants to five years in prison and imposed a fine of 3,000 dinars for trafficking in narcotics and psychoactive substances using a dead drop method for financial gain. The court also ordered their deportation from the country following the completion of their sentences and the confiscation of the drugs found in their possession.

Details of the case reveal that authorities received information from confidential sources indicating that the defendants were receiving quantities of narcotics through dead drops from unknown sources and distributing them in the same manner to generate profit.

Following an intensive investigation, law enforcement identified the suspects and their residence. An arrest warrant was obtained from the Public Prosecution to apprehend them and search their home.

The enforcement team successfully arrested the first defendant at his residence before proceeding to the second defendant's location, where he was also apprehended. During the search of the second defendant's home, officers discovered a bag containing what is believed to be methamphetamine, along with 21 additional wraps of the same substance, two sensitive scales, and a collection of new plastic bags all found on the bedroom floor.

The first defendant confessed during the public prosecution's investigation to possessing and trafficking in psychoactive substances for commercial purposes. He stated that the second defendant had introduced him to an Asian national in their home country who was involved in drug trafficking in Bahrain and was seeking to recruit others. The first defendant was provided with the contact number and agreed to receive the drugs via the dead drop method in exchange for a monthly payment of 650 dinars.

In execution of this arrangement, the first defendant received methamphetamine through dead drops on two occasions, first weighing 100 grams and then 150 grams, along with promotional materials including scales and packaging supplies. He took these items to his residence, where he and the second defendant divided and prepared them for distribution.

Over the course of one month, the first defendant placed the drugs in approximately 80 locations throughout the country. The second defendant also admitted during the investigation that he supplied the first defendant with the contact information of the unknown individual and confirmed witnessing the first defendant possessing methamphetamine and various tools, including scales and packaging materials.
