Shura Council to Form Committees in Sunday Session

The Shura Council will hold its second session of the third ordinary convening of the sixth legislative term this Sunday. During the session, the Council will establish a committee to draft a response to the Royal Address, and its permanent specialised committees.
Four members will also be elected to represent the Council on the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Group. The results of the elections for the chairs and deputy chairs of the permanent specialised committees will be announced to the Council.
Furthermore, the Council will receive messages from His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister. These messages will include several legislative decrees issued in accordance with Article 38 of the Constitution.

These decrees include Legislative Decree No. (7) of 2024, amending Article (28) of Legislative Decree No. (15) of 2002 concerning the Shura and Representatives Councils; Legislative Decree No. (8) of 2024, ratifying and approving accession to several international treaties and agreements related to judicial affairs; Legislative Decree No. (9) of 2024, concerning the Bahrain International Commercial Court; Legislative Decree No. (10) of 2024, amending certain provisions of Legislative Decree No. (51) of 1979 on issuing development bonds; Legislative Decree No. (11) of 2024, concerning the regulation of tax on multinational projects; Legislative Decree No. (12) of 2024, amending Article (4) of Law No. (91) of 2002 concerning the regulation of the labour market; and Legislative Decree No. (13) of 2024, amending Article (7) of the Judicial Authority Law issued by Legislative Decree No. (24) of 2002.
