Families rejoice as five Bahrainis return from Yemen detention

The families of the five Bahrainis held in Yemen have spoken of their great joy and relief following the safe return of their loved ones.
Mrs Zainab, mother of Mahmoud Fouad Ibrahim, and Hussain Saleh Hassan, father of Ali, were among those offering heartfelt thanks to the country’s leadership for bringing their sons home.
Mrs Zainab shared her overwhelming happiness at being reunited with Mahmoud, while Hussain spoke of his pride in the way Bahrain looks after its citizens, no matter where they are.
Abbas Mohammed Abdulrasool, father of Fadhel, also gave his deep thanks to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Interior Minister Lt General H.E. Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.

He praised the care shown in bringing the five men home, noting the great efforts of everyone involved in sorting the matter.
Abbas spoke of his joy, calling it “a priceless moment,” and appreciated how officials kept in regular touch with the families, which gave them peace of mind that their sons would come home safely, thanks to God and the wise leadership of His Majesty the King.
Their thanks also went to the Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs, whose hard work brought about the release of their relatives after weeks of talks with Yemeni authorities.
Legal steps
The Ministry of Interior, in a statement, thanked Yemeni officials for helping in the return of the five Bahrainis, who are now back in the Kingdom and going through the necessary legal steps.
Mrs Zainab, Hussain Saleh Hassan, and Abbas Mohammed Abdulrasool also praised the work done by the Council of Representatives, appreciating their part in helping resolve the situation.
The families gave their heartfelt thanks to HM King Hamad for his caring leadership and ongoing concern for the welfare of Bahraini citizens, both at home and abroad. They praised the authorities’ efforts, which led to their return.
