Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced that it will expand its direct flight services between Bahrain International Airport and Singapore Changi Airport to a daily schedule by the end of October. This move will see Gulf Air offering seven flights per week, up from the current three, providing greater convenience and flexibility for passengers.
The enhanced non-stop service from Bahrain to Singapore will be operated daily using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. This state-of-the-art aircraft will feature the airline's renowned Falcon Gold class, offering 26 lie-flat beds, increased personal space, gourmet meals, and an upgraded in-flight entertainment system, ensuring a luxury travel experience.
Economy passengers will also benefit from enhanced services, including free Wi-Fi, customized meal options, and activity packs for children. Gulf Air’s signature Arabic hospitality will be a cornerstone of the experience for all guests onboard.
The decision to increase flights is part of Gulf Air’s broader strategy to strengthen its global network, with a focus on key destinations in Asia and the Middle East. This development is expected to cater to the growing demand for travel between Bahrain and Singapore, reinforcing connectivity for both business and leisure travelers.
Since launching the Singapore route in 2021, Gulf Air has recognized the city-state as a crucial hub for commerce and tourism. The introduction of daily flights will further elevate Singapore as a key destination within the airline’s network.
A Gulf Air spokesperson expressed excitement about the increased frequency, stating, "This strategic move strengthens our global network, offering passengers enhanced flexibility and access to one of Asia’s most vibrant hubs. By fostering these connections, Gulf Air solidifies its role as a key driver of economic growth and cultural exchange."
Industry experts predict that the increased frequency on the Bahrain-Singapore route will boost tourism and business travel, enhancing ties between the two regions. The daily flights will offer travelers improved options for seamless connections across Gulf Air’s broader network, which spans the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
This announcement aligns with Gulf Air’s continued investment in fleet expansion and service upgrades, aiming to deliver a premium travel experience that blends modern comfort with authentic Arabian hospitality. The introduction of daily flights is expected to attract passengers seeking efficient and convenient travel options, whether for business, leisure, or transit.
