Two Gulf nationals, aged 24, are facing murder charges following a fatal hit-and-run incident outside a nightclub in the Al Hoora area. The Public Prosecution alleges that on August 2nd, 2024, the defendants intentionally and premeditatedly killed one security guard and injured two others.

According to the nightclub manager's testimony, the incident stemmed from a dispute on August 1st, around 10 PM. The two defendants, exhibiting signs of intoxication, attempted to bring alcohol into the nightclub, violating hotel regulations. After being refused entry and subsequently ejected by security, a verbal altercation ensued, escalating into a physical fight.

Approximately three hours later, at 1 AM, a vehicle driven by one of the defendants, speeding recklessly, struck the security guards standing outside the nightclub. One guard was thrown over 10 meters onto a dirt area, resulting in fatal injuries. The other two guards sustained various injuries.

Witnesses, including the nightclub manager and other employees, identified the driver and passenger as the same individuals involved in the earlier altercation. A police officer from the General Directorate of Traffic confirmed receiving a report of a traffic accident at the location. Security camera footage corroborated the witnesses' accounts, showing a Gulf-registered vehicle striking the victims.

Following the incident, the defendants reportedly fled to a hotel, changed their clothes, checked out, and left Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway. Police investigation, aided by CCTV footage, tracked their movements and identified them as the perpetrators.

A forensic report confirmed the deceased security guard's injuries were consistent with a high-impact collision, resulting in multiple fractures and fatal bleeding. Reports on the injured guards detailed various injuries, some minor and others requiring more extensive treatment. The second defendant is said to have returned to the Kingdom after 19 days of the incident, and he was immediately nabbed at the King Fahd Causeway.

He confessed during questioning, admitting to the altercation and subsequent events, including the deliberate act of driving into the security guards. CCTV footage from the hotel also captured the earlier fight between the defendants and the security personnel.

The case is currently before the court, with the defendants facing serious charges, including premeditated murder and attempted murder.
