The Minister of Labour, His Excellency Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, attended a ceremony held by Naseej BSC, celebrating its achievement of 100 per cent Bahrainisation across all roles.
The event saw the presence of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour, along with Naseej’s Chief Executive, Mr Amin Al Arrayed, several ministry officials, and members of the company’s board.
At the event, Humaidan praised Naseej’s efforts in bringing Bahraini workers on board, pointing out the vital role the private sector plays in providing jobs for local youth.
He stressed the need for giving them the skills and support they need to enter different parts of the workforce.
Humaidan said this achievement shows the private sector’s backing of Bahrain’s long-term growth and making sure Bahrainis are given priority in the job market.
He also urged companies to adopt sound hiring practices to bring in more local talent, especially given the government’s support and programmes aimed at putting Bahrainis first in the workplace.
The Minister also spoke of the need to invest wisely in Bahraini workers, expressing faith in their ability to help organisations grow and reach their targets.
Mr Amin Ahmed Al Arrayed, Naseej’s CEO, reaffirmed the company’s pledge to keep building the skills of Bahraini workers.
He said that Naseej’s aims fit with Bahrain’s national plans to make locals the first choice for jobs.
Al Arrayed also acknowledged the important work done by the Ministry of Labour, along with Tamkeen, in offering focused training schemes, which help Bahraini youth stand out in the job market.
