Registration Open for 9th Edition of World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism 2024

The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) has announced that registration is ongoing for the 9th edition of the World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism 2024.

The event, scheduled for November 18-19, 2024, at Exhibition World Bahrain (EWB), promises to be a significant global gathering of culinary and tourism experts. Registration is open until October 31, 2024.

This prestigious forum, organized in collaboration between BTEA, the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), and the Basque Culinary Centre, will bring together local and international leaders in the fields of culinary arts and gastronomy tourism.

The event will feature panel discussions, workshops, and exhibitions showcasing the latest innovations within the industry. Additionally, a high-profile international competition, featuring world-renowned chefs, will spotlight their expertise and talents while promoting knowledge exchange.

Ms. Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of BTEA and Chairperson of EWB, expressed her excitement about hosting the forum in Bahrain, marking the first time it will be held in the Middle East. She emphasized the opportunity this event provides for chefs, stakeholders, and participants to engage with the latest trends in gastronomy tourism.

Ms. Buhiji further encouraged global experts to participate in this forum, which serves as the world’s largest platform for the culinary tourism sector.

The event is expected to foster communication and collaboration among tourism and gastronomy professionals while promoting the exchange of ideas, best practices, and innovative strategies for making gastronomy a cornerstone of global tourism development.
