Russian Delegation Expresses Full Support for King Hamad’s Global Peace Efforts

The Russian delegation has expressed full support for an initiative by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to hold an international peace conference aimed at enhancing stability and security in the Middle East.
The Russian delegation emphasized that such initiatives are vital amid the current global challenges, and international cooperation and joint coordination are essential for achieving worldwide security and stability.
This statement was made during a meeting between the parliamentary delegation of Bahrain, led by His Excellency Ahmed Abdulwahid Qarata, Second Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and His Excellency Talal Mohammed Al-Mannai, Member of the Shura Council.
They met with a Russian parliamentary delegation headed by His Excellency Kara Ul Shulban, Deputy Speaker of the State Duma, and His Excellency Hamzaev Besoltan Sultanbievich, a Duma deputy in the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 45th General Assembly of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly, held from October 17-23.
Strengthening Bilateral Relations
During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations between Bahrain and Russia, particularly in deepening parliamentary and diplomatic ties. They stressed the importance of exchanging expertise in legislative and legal matters, as well as addressing regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The discussions also highlighted Russia’s key role in contributing to the security and stability of the Middle East region.
Economic and Trade Cooperation
The Bahraini delegation reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing economic and trade cooperation with Russia. They pointed out the significant opportunities available in key sectors such as energy, investment, education, and health, underscoring Bahrain’s strategic vision to bolster partnerships in these fields.
In response, the Russian delegation praised the fruitful cooperation between the two nations, commending Bahrain’s efforts in promoting regional peace and stability. They emphasized the need to strengthen parliamentary partnerships to further mutual interests and ensure the prosperity and security of both countries.
The meeting concluded with both sides agreeing to continue working closely to address global challenges and further strengthen their diplomatic and parliamentary relations.
