Bahrain’s Achievements in Space Sciences Lauded by NASA Official

His Highness Major General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Commander of the Royal Guard, underscored the Kingdom of Bahrain's significant advancements in space sciences, attributing these achievements to the vision and unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the dedicated efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This support has been a crucial component of Bahrain's initiatives to advance scientific research in future sciences and cutting-edge technologies, including space sciences, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity — all pivotal elements in the nation's progress.
His Highness made these remarks during a meeting with Ms. Casey Swails, Deputy Associate Administrator of NASA. Also in attendance were Mr. Steven Craig Bondy, U.S. Ambassador to Bahrain, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, and Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Al Aseeri, CEO of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA).
During the meeting, Shaikh Nasser highlighted Bahrain’s forward-looking approach in staying ahead of global advancements in space sciences. He stressed the importance of Bahrain’s collaboration with NASA in space science and technology, focusing on promoting the peaceful use of space. His Highness emphasized that Bahrain remains committed to investing in and empowering local talent, encouraging innovation and excellence across the nation's scientific landscape.
Ms. Casey Swails, in turn, commended Bahrain’s progress in the field of space science, particularly praising the launch of the Bahraini satellite project, "Al Munther." She acknowledged this achievement as a remarkable milestone for Bahrain and expressed her gratitude to His Highness Shaikh Nasser for his continued leadership and vision in advancing Bahrain’s role in global space exploration.
The meeting underscored the importance of international collaboration in space research, setting the stage for further cooperation between Bahrain and NASA in advancing space science and technology for peaceful purposes.
