New Millennium School students experience life at sea aboard INS TIR

A group of 25 students from New Millennium School visited the INS TIR, the oldest ship in the Indian Navy, docked at Bahrain Port.

The trip was organized by the First Training Squadron of the Indian Navy as part of an initiative to provide students with firsthand insight into the diverse roles and responsibilities of naval service on October 13, 2024.

During the visit, students received an in-depth briefing on the history and significance of INS TIR, which plays a crucial role in training future naval cadets.

Ship explored

They explored various areas of the ship, including the bridge, engine rooms, and living quarters, gaining a comprehensive understanding of life at sea.

Officers led interactive sessions to explain the vessel's operational capabilities and the rigorous training processes that naval cadets experience aboard the ship.

Reflecting on the experience, the students shared, "It gave us a unique perspective on how the Indian Navy functions and the dedication required to serve the nation at sea. It was truly inspiring."

School Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai, Managing Director Mrs. Geetha Pillai, and Principal Dr. Arun Kumar Sharma expressed their gratitude to the Indian Navy for facilitating such a unique and enlightening experience for the students.
