The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain has issued a statement condemning the recent military operation against the Islamic Republic of Iran and expressing deep concern over the escalating tensions and military activities in the Middle East. The ministry highlighted the severe implications of these conflicts for innocent civilians and the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the region.

In its statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs called upon the international community to take responsibility for establishing an immediate, comprehensive, and permanent ceasefire in the region. The ministry emphasized the importance of restraint among all involved parties and urged them to prioritize de-escalation efforts to prevent the further spread of war and conflict.

The ministry underscored the necessity of revitalizing peace negotiations aimed at achieving regional security and stability, while also ensuring that the rights of all peoples in the region are upheld. It reiterated the Kingdom's commitment to fostering an environment where individuals can live in dignity, safety, peace, and prosperity.

Furthermore, the Ministry stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire specifically in the Gaza Strip and southern Lebanon. It called for the protection of civilians, their safe return to their homes, and the release of hostages and detainees. The statement also highlighted the importance of unhindered humanitarian aid delivery and adherence to relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions concerning the situation in Gaza.

In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the need for the full implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701, which pertains to Lebanon, as well as strict adherence to the Taif Agreement. It urged an end to the cycle of violence and mutual escalation in order to maintain peace and security in both the Middle East and the world.

The Kingdom of Bahrain continues to advocate for dialogue and peaceful resolutions to conflicts in the region, reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian principles and the safeguarding of human rights amid escalating tensions.
