Stage set for ‘Fikra’ competition’s sixth edition
Following the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) yesterday announced that it has started receiving submissions for the sixth edition of the Government Innovation Competition, ‘Fikra,’ from yesterday until 27 November 2024.
“Fikra” aims to support innovation and excellence by providing opportunities for government sector employees and enterprises to present competitive proposals to develop government workstreams in line with the Kingdom’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The competition also aims to enhance creativity among the Kingdom’s national workforce by implementing their wide-ranging ideas to further the Kingdom’s development. The launch of the sixth edition of the competition affirms the success of the previous winning ideas of “Fikra” in enhancing government workstreams and promoting a culture of creativity and innovation.
Public sector employees and government enterprises may submit their ideas individually or in groups (with a maximum of 4 individuals per group) through the Prime Minister’s Office website at www.pmo.gov.bh Ideas should focus on ways to develop government services and improve their efficiency and performance. All submissions will undergo a preliminary review that will be conducted by the relevant members of the evaluation committee.
