Labour Ministry implementing ‘Khobara’ and ‘For You’ under Bahrainouna Plan

The Labour Minister, His Excellency Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, has emphasised the Ministry’s dedication to fulfilling His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives, which are embedded in the National Plan to Promote the Spirit of Belonging to the Nation and Reinforce the Values of Nationalism (Bahrainouna). This initiative, rooted in Bahrain’s national identity and values, supports the Kingdom’s ongoing development under HM the King’s leadership, with the continued support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Humaidan expressed appreciation to H.E. Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior and head of the committee overseeing Bahrainouna, for his essential support in executing the Ministry’s national initiatives. According to Humaidan, Bahrainouna embodies the Ministry’s role in embedding Bahraini values and recognising the dedication of those working in demanding professions. As part of Bahrainouna, the Ministry introduced The National Platform for Bahrain Experts (known in Arabic as Khobara) and the For You initiative. Database Since Khobara’s launch in March 2023, the platform has registered 207 Bahraini experts across various sectors, building a comprehensive database to showcase their skills both locally and regionally.

This includes 70 professionals in finance, insurance, and banking; 53 in information and communications; 20 in healthcare; 48 in engineering; six in manufacturing; and ten in real estate. A committee will begin evaluating the registered experts in November to further promote Bahraini talent across the region. Humaidan explained that the Khobara platform represents an important step in supporting and promoting Bahraini expertise regionally, providing visibility for professionals across diverse fields and showcasing Bahrain’s wealth of talent and best practices. This collective effort, supported by the Information and eGovernment Authority and Bahrainouna’s Executive Office, aims to strengthen Bahrain’s national values and competencies.

The Ministry is also preparing for the launch of the For You initiative in December, which will honour private-sector workers in high-risk roles as a gesture of appreciation for their contributions to Bahrain’s economy. Workforce This initiative shines a light on the efforts and sacrifices of Bahrain’s dedicated workforce in demanding sectors. Humaidan reaffirmed the Ministry’s focus on enhancing worker safety by applying best practices in challenging work environments, ensuring the well-being of those who face high-risk conditions daily. These initiatives collectively reflect Bahrain’s dedication to its national values, celebrating the expertise and resilience of its people who contribute to the Kingdom’s development and prosperity
