BTEA organises tours for delegations participating in ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024
In an effort to provide an exceptional tourism experience, the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) organised a special programme of tours for delegations participating in the International School Sport Federation (ISF) Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024. The initiative included visits to some of Bahrain’s most prominent cultural and tourism destinations, aiming to showcase the Kingdom’s rich history and culture while enhancing the participants’ experience through an extraordinary journey that cements Bahrain’s status as a premier tourist destination.

On this occasion, Ms. Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of BTEA, affirmed that hosting the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 is in line with the Authority’s strategy to promote sports tourism, a fundamental component of the 2022-2026 tourism strategy. Sports tourism She highlighted that sports tourism not only elevates Bahrain’s position as a global sports destination but also fosters cultural and athletic exchanges among the participating nations.

Additionally, Ms. Buhiji noted that the tours have been meticulously designed to encompass a range of diverse destinations, providing participants with the opportunity to visit the bustling souks, which are considered one of the key aspects of Bahrain’s heritage.
