Aster Medical Centre offers quality healthcare to all

On behalf of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed  Al Mutawa officially inaugurated the new Aster DM Medical Centre in Gudaibiya, heralding a new era of affordable and world-class healthcare services.

The ceremony took place in presence of the Supreme Council of Health President Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh. 

Commenting on the occasion, Al Mutawa reaffirmed the government’s commitment, led by the Prime Minster, to push private sector investments in the health sector and encourage the inauguration of more medical centres. 

He added that this would be achieved by providing more incentives and flexible processes to develop the Kingdom’s health sector and offer high-class healthcare services that fulfil the needs of both nationals and residents alike.

Al Mutawa noted that the continued development and expansion of the Kingdom’s health sector was driven by the government’s strategy to develop quality healthcare services in both the public and private sectors equally. He stated his full confidence in Aster DM Medical Centre adding value to healthcare facilities in Bahrain through its excellent medical services.

The opening ceremony witnessed a welcoming speech by Dr Azad Moopen – Chairman, Aster DM Healthcare – and a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by SCH President Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla  Al Khalifa, Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, dignitaries, officials as well as Aster Medical Centre board members and senior management.

In his inaugural address, Dr Moopen said: “We are truly honoured to fall under the patronage of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bhin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and graced with the presence of Cabinet Affairs Minister Mohammed Al Mutawa to inaugurate our first Aster Medical Centre in Bahrain.” 

 “Over the past few months, we have worked closely with the government of Bahrain and the Ministry of Health to find the right opportunities to support its health improvement strategy. We have focused on delivering affordable, specialised healthcare to cater to the growing patient traffic and the risk of non-communicable diseases. With these core objectives, Aster aims at providing exemplary and quality public healthcare for all sections of society.”

Since its launch in Bahrain, Aster has worked alongside the Ministry of Health to protect people from chronic, non-communicable diseases and tackle future health challenges. The Medical Centre delivers timely curative and preventive services through early-detection and integrated healthcare. 

The premium medical care services combined with raising public awareness on healthy lifestyles will be delivered by Aster’s friendly team of medical practitioners trained to the highest academic and professional standards.

Aster Medical Centre will continue to grow its team of professionals to at least 70 members and five further establishments in Bahrain, all dedicated to delivering world-class healthcare and cater to the growing number of outpatient specialties. 

On a broader scale, Aster DM Healthcare aims at transforming the healthcare system of the region with an investment over $136 million in the GCC over the next two years. The healthcare group will continue to expand its advanced medical facilities and offer premium, affordable healthcare services at affordable costs for the community in which it operates.

It provides the local community with convenient and affordable medical services that add to the Kingdom’s socio-economic development and healthcare quality.  

Aster’s multi-specialty clinic in Gudaibiya will include Internal Medicine, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, ENT, Dermatology, General Surgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Dentistry, General Medicine supported by paramedic services including Physiotherapy, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Laboratory, Audiology & Speech therapy and Pharmacy.
