The Embassy of India in Bahrain announced the successful resolution of long-pending repatriation cases during an open house event yesterday, chaired by Ambassador Vinod Kurian Jacob.
Among the cases highlighted were the repatriation of a patient who had been receiving treatment for 13 years and a stretcher patient, both resolved through the Embassy’s proactive efforts in October.
Approximately 40 Indian nationals attended the open house, which was conducted in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam.
In his opening remarks, the Ambassador conveyed Diwali greetings to the community and briefed attendees on the positive outcomes of cases presented during the last open house.
Ambassador Jacob urged community members to participate in an upcoming awareness-raising session on trafficking in persons, scheduled for November 14 at 3:30 PM at the Embassy.
He expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Labour and various agencies of the Kingdom of Bahrain for their valuable assistance in addressing labour and community welfare issues.
