A delegation of 185 young athletes, representing various International Curriculum Schools across India, visited Bahrain from 23rd to 30th October 2024 to compete in the ISF World School Gymnasiade held in Manama.

Organised by the International School Sports Organization (ISSO) India, the event brought together young talent from around the globe.

The athletes showcased their skills across a range of disciplines, including Archery, Artistic Gymnastics, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Chess, Fencing, Judo, Karate, Swimming, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, and Tennis.

The team secured two gold medals, four silver medals, and six bronze medals, making their mark on the international stage.

Rhe delegation also participated in the ‘Visit Embassy’ Programme, where they toured the Embassy of India on 29th October 2024.

Ambassador Vinod K. Jacob engaged with the young athletes, providing them with an overview of the various roles and departments within the Embassy.

The students learned about the initiatives and exhibitions hosted by the Embassy and gained valuable insights into the historic bilateral relations between India and Bahrain.

The visit not only allowed the athletes to represent their schools but also fostered a deeper understanding of their cultural ties and the importance of international collaboration in sports.
