HM King highlights Bahrain’s commitment to supporting global environmental protection

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to environmental security and support for international efforts in this area.
HM the King was speaking as he received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, yesterday at Sakhir Palace.
He commended the government, led by HRH Prince Salman, for its commitment to implementing national plans that enhance environmental security, ensure resource sustainability, and foster a supportive culture.
The national plans included the recently launched National Tree Week, which garnered broad engagement across official, community, and public sectors.
His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court, and H.E. General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, were present.
The meeting discussed topics aimed at further advancing Bahrain’s development and bolstering achievements to sustain progress and prosperity for the benefit of the Kingdom’s citizens.
HM King Hamad also expressed appreciation for the continuous accomplishments of Bahraini nationals across various domains, underscoring their commitment to advancing the status of the Kingdom internationally.
He lauded the Kingdom’s success in hosting major conferences and events, including international sports tournaments.
Regarding developments in the Middle East and related efforts, His Majesty stressed the importance of de-escalation and restoring stability in the region.
HM the King called for a comprehensive, fair, and lasting peace based on a two-state solution, which would ensure security and stability for all.
He reiterated Bahrain’s support for diplomatic efforts to resolve global conflicts through dialogue, contributing to international peace and security
