Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) has announced two pivotal strategic partnerships at the Gateway Gulf Investment Forum 2024, reinforcing its commitment to technological innovation and environmental sustainability.

Alba unveiled a major collaboration with Bahrain-based ARRAY Innovation to advance its Industry 4.0 transformation.

Through this partnership, ARRAY Innovation will implement advanced artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and data analytics solutions to optimize Alba’s manufacturing processes.

Khalid Al Rumaihi, Chairman of Alba’s Board of Directors, highlighted the collaboration’s significance by stating, “This strategic partnership will accelerate Alba’s Industry 4.0 journey, enhancing operational efficiency and aligning with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 by investing in local talent.

Together, we are committed to setting new benchmarks in production, safety, and sustainability.” ARRAY Innovation’s CEO, Alaa Saeed, echoed this enthusiasm, emphasizing the shared mission to foster Bahrain’s technological leadership while creating high-value jobs.

“Our engagement with Alba amplifies our impact in the community and strengthens Alba’s global position in the aluminium industry,” Saeed said.

In another groundbreaking announcement, Alba and Daiki Aluminium Industry Company Ltd. revealed plans to establish Alba-Daiki Sustainable Solutions (ADSS), a joint venture dedicated to sustainable aluminium dross processing. The facility, set to launch operations by September 2026, will be a significant step toward environmental stewardship in the Gulf region.

Alba will hold a 70% stake in this venture, with Daiki Aluminium owning the remaining 30%. H.E. Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of Bahrain EDB, praised the venture as a testament to Bahrain’s appeal as a global investment hub.
