Jalal Kadhem MP wants yearly government figures put online, allowing people and researchers to view how public services are working without the usual tangle of paperwork.
‘This plan is about openness,’ Kadhem wrote in his note, stressing that easy access would help writers, researchers, and others who rely on government figures for their work. Kadhem’s push for online access aims to make it simpler for Bahrainis to see what government bodies are doing, cutting out the formal requests and red tape.
Kadhem also pointed out that this change would support workers across public and private fields who need solid figures, adding that ‘people should be able to see what’s being done with their resources’ and have faith in how their government works.
Kadhem assured that the plan follows all rules on keeping information safe, finding a middle ground between openness and state security. He believes that by giving people a clearer view of government work, this move could build trust between the public and government.
