His Excellency Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has commended the launch of the Global Network Supporting Youth Competitiveness, known as the “Network of Hope.” This initiative was celebrated during an international event held under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain.
In his address, Dr. Al Zayani expressed pride in Bahrain’s role as the host of the largest international gathering of ministers and officials responsible for youth affairs from around the world. This significant event coincides with the silver jubilee of His Majesty the King’s ascension to the throne, marking a milestone in Bahrain’s leadership in creating a global network that inspires hope for youth and future generations.
“The ‘Network of Hope’ is designed to refine the talents of young people and enhance their productive, creative, and intellectual capacities,” stated Dr. Al Zayani. He emphasized the importance of exchanging experiences, developmental policies, and collaborative efforts to pave the way for a more secure, peaceful, and prosperous future.
The initiative is part of His Majesty the King’s visionary outlook, receiving strong support from the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Furthermore, it aligns with the pioneering efforts of His Highness Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.
The Network serves as a platform for empowering youth and involving them as active partners in promoting solidarity, peace, and global prosperity.
Dr. Al Zayani noted Bahrain's commitment to empowering youth to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and enhance their access to modern technologies in education. He reaffirmed Bahrain's stance against extremism and its commitment to fostering a culture of peace and tolerance, aligning with His Majesty's calls for international agreements to combat hate speech and regulate artificial intelligence for development and peace.
In addition, the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence is dedicated to implementing scientific and training programs aimed at educating youth and instilling values of love and harmony in collaboration with academic institutions and international organizations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to the staff of the Ministry and the diplomatic missions abroad for their creative national efforts and effective collaboration with the Ministry of Youth Affairs. Their coordination with embassies and international organizations has been pivotal in establishing the “Network of Hope” as a global platform that supports the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan and the Declaration of Future Generations regarding youth rights.
In conclusion, Dr. Al Zayani emphasized that the launch of the “Network of Hope” reflects Bahrain’s enduring commitment to support and empower youth. He affirmed that young people are the true wealth of the nation and the promise of a bright future, and he reiterated Bahrain's dedication to strengthening international partnerships and solidarity in youth care. This initiative aims to nurture their talents and aspirations, encouraging them to contribute creatively to building inclusive, just, and sustainable societies.
