The Southern Municipality reported that the inspection campaign, which lasted more than two months, was conducted in coordination with the Ministry of Social Development and the Municipal Council. The campaign focused on curbing the random distribution of these containers, which were found to obstruct vision angles, impede vehicle movement, and pose a potential risk to pedestrians' safety.

Officials from the Southern Municipality emphasized the importance of obtaining the necessary licenses before placing such containers. The containers must be within the boundaries of the property owned by the association or institution requesting them. This initiative was implemented by Public Roads Occupation Law No. (2) of 1996, Clause No. (4), which prohibits the placement of goods, displays, kiosks, or other structures on public roads without proper authorization.
