“In global cinema, Arab culture is shining,” said French Ambassador to Bahrain, Eric Giraud-Telme. "Today, cinema is a universal language, particularly in Bahrain, with its wealth of talented people. This year’s festival is more important than last year because we have built stronger relationships with Bahraini filmmakers.”

One of the festival’s standout initiatives this year was the 48-Hour Short Movie Competition, which attracted over a hundred applicants. The competition challenged filmmakers to create a short film within two days, further showcasing the creativity and potential of Bahrain’s rising stars.

“This is our success,” Ambassador Giraud-Telme noted, reflecting on the festival’s growing influence and the success of the new competition.

As anticipation builds for today’s announcement, the 4th Bahrain Film Festival continues to shine a spotlight on the country’s film industry and its place in the global cinematic landscape.
