HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Meets with the Chairman of STC Group

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, today held a meeting with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Khalid A. Al Faisal Al Saud, Chairman of STC Group, at Gudaibiya Palace.
During the meeting, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister reaffirmed Bahrain’s commitment to bolstering its economic and developmental sectors under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad emphasised the pivotal role of the communications and information technology (ICT) sector in enhancing Bahrain’s global competitiveness and sustainability. He noted that this sector is a key pillar driving growth in various other vital economic areas.
HRH the Crown Prince underscored the strength of the long-standing partnership between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, highlighting the importance of continuing to deepen collaboration across multiple fields. He particularly stressed the significance of expanding cooperation in the ICT sector, which is increasingly integral to the advancement of both Kingdoms.
Discussions also focused on STC Group’s development plans and its current and upcoming programmes, with HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Khalid exchanging views on the latest trends in the ICT sector, both regionally and internationally.
HRH Prince Mohammed bin Khalid expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to meet with HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, lauding his dedication to advancing Bahrain’s telecommunications and ICT sectors. He also extended his best wishes for continued success and prosperity in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The meeting was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, His Excellency Hamad bin Faisal Al Malki.
This high-level engagement between Bahrain and STC Group is expected to further strengthen the Kingdom’s position as a leader in ICT development and digital transformation in the region.
