HM King Hamad warmly welcomed by HM King Charles

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa met with His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom at Windsor Castle as part of his visit to the UK. Upon arriving at Windsor Castle in the royal carriage, HM the King was received by HM King Charles III with an official welcome, including the playing of the Bahraini national anthem.
During their discussion, their Majesties exchanged views on the longstanding and close ties between the two royal families and discussed means to advance the strong and historic relations between Bahrain and the UK, focusing on enhancing cooperation and shared initiatives.
HM the King expressed gratitude to HM King Charles III for the warm welcome and acknowledged the British leader’s role in fostering strong ties with Bahrain for the benefit of both nations. HM King Hamad wished HM King Charles’s continued health and success he leads the UK towards further progress.
HM the King praised the historical relations and strong partnership between the two kingdoms extending for over 200 years, that are rooted in solid foundations. His Majesty expressed his ongoing commitment to strengthening this strategic relationship and expanding areas of cooperation to achieve shared interests.
They also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest, including developments in the Middle East. HM King Hamad commended the UK’s influential role on the international stage and its active efforts to promote regional and global peace and stability.
HM King Charles III expressed his appreciation to HM the King for his commitment to advancing the historic relations between the two kingdoms. The meeting was attended by HM the King’s accompanying delegation.
Their Majesties then inspected the honour guard lined up to greet them. HM King Hamad presented the 2024 Royal Windsor Horse Show awards to the best regiment from the Royal Cavalry and the best artillery team from the King’s Royal Horse Artillery. Afterward, their Majesties proceeded to the private library at Windsor Castle for an audience.
