HRH the Deputy King meets with the Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force: 13 November 2024

The Deputy King, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, today met with the Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, at Sakhir Air Base.
HRH the Deputy King highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, to advancing cooperation between Bahrain and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to achieve shared goals.
His Royal Highness noted the longstanding ties between Bahrain and Pakistan and their partnership across multiple sectors, particularly in the military and defence industry.
His Royal Highness welcomed Air Chief Sidhu to the Kingdom of Bahrain and commended Pakistan’s Air Force Team's participation in the Bahrain International Airshow, alongside allied countries.
On behalf of HM the King, His Royal Highness awarded Air Chief Marshal Sidhu with the Bahrain Medal - First Class for his efforts to enhance military and defence cooperation between the two countries.
During the meeting, issues of mutual interest, the latest regional developments, and ways to enhance military and defence collaboration were discussed.
His Royal Highness noted Pakistan’s vital role, alongside allied countries, in safeguarding regional peace and security.
For his part, the Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for the honour of receiving the Bahrain Medal - First Class.
Air Chief Sidhu also commended His Royal Highness’s efforts in enhancing the Bahrain-Pakistan partnership, particularly in the military and defence sectors, and wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
Several senior officials also attended the meeting.
