Emirates Airline is forecasting robust travel demand through 2025, capitalizing on Bahrain’s rise as a destination for both tourists and business travellers.

Speaking to The Daily Tribune at the Bahrain International Airshow 2024, Mr. Nabil Sultan, Executive Vice President, Passenger Sales and Country Management, Emirates noted a promising outlook for the coming months, with forward bookings already strong. With the peak season around the corner, Emirates anticipates high seat occupancy rates through March 2025, bolstered by holiday demand and sustained business interest.

Emirates has deepened its commitment to Bahrain since launching flights nearly two decades ago, with its current schedule of three daily widebody flights serving as a vital link for the Kingdom. Mr. Sultan underscored Bahrain’s rapid evolution in infrastructure and hospitality as a key factor in Emirates’ investment in the market. “The Kingdom of Bahrain has transformed in a big way,” he remarked, highlighting the influx of luxury hotels that have made Bahrain a distinctive Gulf destination.

Alongside leisure tourism, Bahrain’s status as a regional financial hub has enhanced its draw for international business, attracting multinational banks and other corporate entities. “Business travel in and out of Bahrain is a big market segment,” Mr. Sultan said, pointing to Emirates’ range of travel classes, including the newly introduced Premium Economy, as a tailored response to this diverse demand.

The Bahrain International Airshow provided Emirates with a platform to showcase its vision for Bahrain as an integral part of its global network, connecting the Kingdom with 147 destinations worldwide.
