Royal Support and Global Prestige Mark Bahrain International Trophy

The sixth Bahrain International Trophy concluded today at the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club (REHC), with His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Deputy King, attending the event and celebrating Bahrain’s continued rise as a global hub for horseracing.

HRH the Deputy King credited the unwavering support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for establishing Bahrain’s prominence in the equestrian sector. "His Majesty's vision has been instrumental in advancing our horseracing sector, ensuring it remains deeply rooted in Bahrain’s culture and history," HRH remarked, underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to developing horseracing for generations to come.

Praising the organizational efforts of His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the REHC High Committee, HRH the Deputy King noted the dedication of Team Bahrain in elevating the Kingdom’s horseracing standards, fostering a reputation that attracts top-tier international and regional participation.

Highlighting the main event, HRH the Deputy King presented the Bahrain International Trophy to owners Sir Alex Ferguson, Done, and Mason, whose horse Spirit Dancer clinched first place in the eighth race for imported, graded Class 1, Group 2 horses. Spirit Dancer’s victory marked its second consecutive win in this prestigious race, followed by Lead Artist in second, Calif in third, and Alflaila in fourth.

The event also featured other notable races. The first race, the World Arabian Horse Organisation Cup, was won by Kuheilan Al Adiyat 1894. Braveheart took first in the Lexus Cup, while Byline claimed the Economic Development Board Cup. Other winners included Ava Go Joe in the Grand Seiko Cup, Al Hadba in the Gulf Air Cup, Instinctive Move in the Beyon Cup, and Zagato in the Bapco Energies Cup.

HRH the Deputy King expressed Bahrain’s pride in hosting such high-calibre events and congratulated the winners, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting equestrian sports. The Bahrain International Trophy showcased the Kingdom’s equestrian spirit, solidifying its place on the international horseracing stage.
