Embassy of Japan in Bahrain Announces Japanese Anime & Tokusatsu Film Festival from Nov 21–24, 2024 at EPIX CINEMAS

The Embassy of Japan in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in collaboration with the Bahrain Japan Business & Friendship Society and Onigiri Plus Inc., is excited to invite you to the Japanese Anime & Tokusatsu Film(SFX) Festival from November 21 to 24, 2024. The festival will feature a special selection of four amazing Japanese films, including both anime and tokusatsu (Japanese special effects) films. From action-packed tokusatsu films to fun family adventures, this event offers something for everyone.
The festival will start on November 21, 2024, with Shin Masked Rider, a thrilling tokusatsu film. The screening will start at 19:00, with an Opening Ceremony at 18:30. On November 22, the festival will showcase Dharuriser, an exciting action-drama film, at 19:00. Fans can enjoy a Dharuriser Meet & Greet at 18:30, where they will have the chance to meet film’s character.
On November 23, we will feature the family-friendly movie Doraemon: Nobita’s Dinosaur, a heartwarming and fun adventure for all ages.
The festival will end on November 24 with Mecha Ude:Mechanical Arms, a sci-fi mecha film filled with action and futuristic battles.
All screenings will take place at EPIX CINEMAS, Dana Mall, starting at 19:00. Admission is free, but seats are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage guests to arrive early.
Whether you are a long-time fan of anime and tokusatsu or new to this world, the festival offers a great opportunity to experience the magic of Japanese cinema. The Dharuriser Meet & Greet is a special chance to meet reel action films hero character on site.
