The Al Malikiya Beach development project is one step closer to realization as the Bahrain Tender Board opened 12 bids yesterday, showcasing significant interest from contracting companies in enhancing one of the Kingdom’s cherished public beaches.
Project Details
The development aims to revitalise the northern beach with new facilities, including a cafe building, open-air restrooms, and a service building. Plans also include upgrades to the existing walkway and associated structures, ensuring a more enjoyable experience for beachgoers.
Bids Submitted
Issued by the Northern Governorate Municipality, the tender drew bids ranging from BD76,702 to BD193,436. Arab Concepts Construction emerged as the lowest bidder at BD76,702, with Dynamic Construction following at BD109,489.
Other notable submissions included Al Safar Trading and Contracting Company at BD82,940, Al Jazim Contracting Establishment at BD83,575, and Gulf Fencing & Specialist Surfacing at BD88,761.
Al Asayel General Trading offered a bid of BD94,957, while Integrated Facilities Management Company submitted the highest bid at BD193,436.
Public Ambitions
The project is set to transform Al Malikiya Beach into a vibrant community hub, reflecting Bahrain’s commitment to improving public spaces. The final selection of a contractor will soon be announced, marking the next stage in bringing these upgrades to life.
