The Bahrain National Theater came alive with the vibrant rhythms and melodies of Spain as Maestro Dr. Mubarak Najem led a mesmerizing concert titled "Sound of Spain". The event, which drew hundreds of attendees, featured an exceptional lineup of Spanish musicians and dancers, creating an unforgettable cultural experience that bridged continents.
“This is a celebration of Spain’s musical heritage and a moment to position Bahrain on the global cultural map,”remarked Huda Sayed Abdulghafar Alalawi, Director of Culture, Bahrain, in an exclusive comment to *The Daily Tribune.“The Bahrain National Theater serves as a bridge to transfer Bahrain’s unique charm to the world of international music,”she added.
The concert showcased a stellar lineup of performers, including tenor José Manuel Montero, flamenco guitarist Carlos Piñana, classical and flamenco guitarist Rainer María Nero, percussionist Miguel Ángel Orengo, and dancers Marina Gonzalez, Ariana Lopez, and Almudena Roca, who enchanted the audience with their artistry.
Carlos Piñana’s soulful flamenco guitar performance resonated deeply with the audience, while Rainer María Nero’s blend of classical and flamenco guitar added a unique layer of sophistication to the evening. Miguel Ángel Orengo’s exceptional percussion skills brought energy and vibrancy to the stage.
The dancers—Marina Gonzalez, Ariana Lopez, and Almudena Roca—mesmerized the crowd with their artistry, blending traditional castanets and flamenco steps into a performance that was both passionate and evocative.
