Wadi Al Sail is set to benefit from a new primary and intermediate school for girls, with the project now one step closer to becoming a reality.
The proposal has received unanimous support from Parliament’s Services Committee and is progressing as planned. MP Dr Ali Majid Al Nuaimi, who introduced the proposal, highlighted the growing demand for government-run schools for girls in the rapidly expanding area. He emphasized the critical shortage of educational facilities for female students in the region.
In reviewing the proposal, the Services Committee sought input from the Ministry of Education, which confirmed that a primary and intermediate school for girls in Wadi Al Sail is included in its ten-year infrastructure development plan (2020-2030). The architectural designs for the school have already been finalised, and the project is now awaiting budget approval from the Ministry of Finance and National Economy.
The Services Committee, chaired by MP Mamdooh Al Saleh, met twice to discuss the proposal and ultimately concluded that its merits fully justified its approval. The report is now set to be presented to the full House of Representatives for further consideration on Tuesday.
