HM King Hamad Sends Written Message to Pope Francis

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has sent a written message to His Holiness Pope Francis, which was delivered at the Vatican by Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Public Affairs Minister at the Royal Court.
The message underscored the importance of strengthening the close and longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Vatican. Key among the discussed initiatives was fostering collaboration between the King Hamad Digital Library and the Vatican Apostolic Library, reflecting a shared commitment to preserving and promoting knowledge and cultural heritage.
The Vatican Apostolic Library, established in the 15th century, is renowned for its vast collection of manuscripts and books in multiple languages. Its holdings include significant Arabic works on subjects such as medicine, astronomy, mathematics, and literature, aligning with Bahrain’s efforts to bridge cultures and encourage the exchange of knowledge.
This interaction reaffirms Bahrain's dedication to building global partnerships that promote cultural understanding and intellectual cooperation.
