HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Inaugurates Mara'ee 2024

Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, inaugurated the seventh edition of the Bahrain Animal Production Show (Mara'ee 2024) at the Bahrain International Endurance Village.
During the event, HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister underscored Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to enhance food security through strategic initiatives and innovative projects, guided by the vision and directives of His Majesty the King. He emphasized the pivotal role of the agricultural and livestock sector as a cornerstone of food security, highlighting the importance of its preservation and sustainable development.
HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad noted the government’s commitment to advancing programmes for agricultural, animal, and marine development, which contribute to strengthening national food security and fostering a modern food industry. He commended Team Bahrain’s innovative use of advanced technologies to enhance food production and implement vital projects aligned with the Kingdom’s aspirations.
The Crown Prince also lauded the efforts of the Bahrain Defence Force’s Royal Guard, the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, and other stakeholders in organizing the international event. He expressed pride in the success of the Bahrain Animal Production Show, noting its ability to attract international participants and encourage investments in agricultural production, thereby supporting self-sufficiency and bolstering the national economy.

HRH also honored sponsors in recognition of their contributions to the success of the exhibition.
Government Initiatives
The Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture, HE Eng. Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, praised HM the King’s support for the agricultural and livestock sector, particularly in advancing food security initiatives. He highlighted HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s commitment to afforestation, agricultural innovation, and environmentally friendly practices, which promote environmental awareness within Bahraini society.
HE Al Mubarak also emphasized the role of HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Chairwoman of the Advisory Council of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development, in supporting Bahrain’s agricultural sector.
The Ministry has allocated over 470,000 square meters of government agricultural land to Bahraini farmers and breeders for agricultural and animal production, aiming to encourage investments and preserve Bahrain’s agricultural heritage.
The event, attended by senior officials and international participants, reinforced Bahrain’s position as a leader in hosting specialized exhibitions and its dedication to sustainable development in the agricultural sector.
