MPs have given their approval to a draft response to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s Royal Speech, which set out goals for national unity, sustainable growth, and the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

The Council’s Bureau will now refine the document with MPs’ input before presenting it to HM the King.

The speech, delivered at the opening of the third session of the sixth legislative term, was widely praised for its forward-thinking approach to Bahrain’s progress.

“His Majesty’s speech shines a light on the pressing need for unity and modern solutions, such as artificial intelligence, to tackle today’s challenges,” said MP Mamdouh Al Saleh.
