BPTC announces new bus routes, timings for public

Bahrain Public Transport Company (BPTC), the new operators of the Kingdom’s revamped public transport network, has announced  that starting Sunday, December 13, new bus routes and timings will come into effect in an effort to improve the service and ensure it meets the public needs.

Buses will run from 5am until 10.30pm daily, 7 days a week

Due to the increase in passenger demand, more buses will be added on the routes serviced by A1, X2, X3, X4, 17, 18, 19 and 41

The number of buses on service A2, 13, 46 and 70 will be reduced as a result of low passenger numbers

Services 52 & 53 will be removed from the network and replaced by 50 & 51; some changes will be made to this service as compensation

Service 55 will be withdrawn from the grid due to limited passenger usage

Services 12, 30, 31 & 33 will no longer service Bahrain International Airport but will continue to operate to the bus stops on Airport Avenue

For more detailed information on the new public transport routes and timetables, passengers are advised to visit www.bahraibus.bh or any of the main bus terminals in Manama, Muharraq and Isa Town to plan their journey better and minimise inconvenience.

Public transport users can also direct their enquiries to the Hotline in 66311111 from 7am – 9pm for further assistance.

BPTC would like to assure passengers that it is continuously monitoring the network and services and making improvements along the way.

The company remains committed to providing a safe, convenient and reliable public transport service for the people of Bahrain.
