The Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its welcome for the recently announced ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, achieved through the diplomatic mediation of the United States and France. Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the agreement as a critical step towards reducing military tensions in the region, protecting the lives of innocent civilians, enabling the return of displaced individuals, and facilitating the delivery of essential humanitarian aid to alleviate suffering.
The ministry emphasized the importance of all parties committing to an immediate, comprehensive, and permanent ceasefire. It also called for the full implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 and other relevant international resolutions.
Reiterating Bahrain's firm stance on promoting dialogue and peaceful solutions, the ministry underscored the need for a just, comprehensive, and enduring peace in the Middle East. This includes achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and resolving the Palestinian issue based on the two-state solution, in line with international law and relevant resolutions.
Bahrain reaffirmed its dedication to regional security, stability, and the well-being of all people in the Middle East.
