Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Medical University of Bahrain celebrated its 20th anniversary. The milestone event coincided with Bahrain’s Silver Jubilee celebrations, marking 25 years of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s reign.
The event, held at the Gulf Convention Centre, was attended by distinguished guests, including the Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, His Excellency Lieutenant General Dr Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, ministers, ambassadors, university faculty, and alumni.

She highlighted RCSI Bahrain’s achievements, with over 3,200 graduates since its inception in 2004, many of whom now serve in Bahrain and across 39 countries worldwide.
To commemorate the occasion, RCSI Bahrain launched a book, From Dublin to Dilmun, chronicling the university’s journey and its impact on Bahrain’s healthcare sector. Authored by Professors Sameer Otoom and Joe McMenamin, the book features contributions from notable figures who have shaped RCSI Bahrain’s legacy.
RCSI Bahrain remains steadfast in its mission to produce highly skilled healthcare professionals, advance patient care, and contribute to the Kingdom’s healthcare sector.
